Riverbend Park in Jupiter, Florida, also known as Battlefield Park is one of our favorite places to walk in Florida. There are endless trails for walking and biking. This is Cow Pen Lake and it is just beautiful. Cypress trees with their interesting wide base surround the lake often actually in the water since the lakes and marshes fluctuate in water levels regularly due to seasonal rains.
Lots of birds and wildlife around Cow Pen Lake, including alligators. We have seen deer, Roseate Spoonbills, Great Heron, hawks and much more in the park. There are places to sit in the shade, have a picnic lunch or just cool off while taking in spectacular views like the one at Battlefield Park's Cow Pen Lake.
