This digital painting recreates a treasured memory of a man who lived in New Zealand when he was 14 years old. He jumped off of this very lighthouse to retrieve his runaway rowboat and save his companions. It was a pivotal day in his life and his family asked us to research the lighthouse and recreate the event as a gift for his 80th birthday.
